Ooooooo, Pace RC100 on eBay, BRAND NEW....must resist!

For just the Frame? - No Bullseyes, B/B, Headset, RC30/35's, Specific stem!! - Looks like I bought at the right time. Will be keeping mine in the vault from now on!

Cheers,
boy"O"boy

Not in a position to even think about buying it, but the ideal of old rivets 'rattling around in the top tube' as you ride would put me right off.

£300 frame only , good buy. £500 frame only, probably what I'd hope to relies if I split any of mine :p

Not brand new BUT brand new condition.
If its never been ridden how come it needed repainting?

£500 for the frame :?
I put my complete RC100 up for sale on RB not that long ago for not that much more (it didnt sell).

I think the seller means not build or ridden since restored.

I had the same issue with my old rivets so I drilled inside the headtube into the TT and squeezed in some bathroom sealant. Rivet heads then got stuck in the sealant.

Personally £350-£500 isn't bad for a low production, early, handmade british frame, especially one that has had the expensive respray and redecal done and has sorted the cable guide issue. I've seen US alloy frames like Answer Manitou's and Funks sell for more over here and Kleins much more.

With things like Bullseye cranks selling for £250 or more now and early maguras selling for £100 and RC30s for £100-150 anyone who sells a full RC100 for £500 is offering the bargain of the century to a stripper 'n' flipper.

I think that these bikes are vastly undervalued both in terms of their worth in parts alone but also in the engineering and the design that was light years ahead of all other UK bikes of the time.

I hear what your saying Pete :?
No way would I strip her, shes fitted with Bullseyes, Maguras, RC35's, RC 50's, full set of new Pace chain rings. Its a good bit of British MTB development history.

I'm not saying strip her, no no no no!! Just saying that if we just looked at the value of the sum of parts then it would be much, much higher than what people ask for the whole bikes.
:D
