Onza HO Ti pedals new

When did they swap to the flat style end cap and when did they make them silver ? (actual question)

I also don't remember them costing that much :?

Dunno, maybe '96. The box changed from the onza box with the drawing on it, purpleor blue depending on the spindle, to this box. The end cap changed from a 5mm key to a slt. The cap is cast so it doesn't ano well (I just tried), and didn't take well to an allen key. Slot is an improvement!
And yep, probably a £140 pedal, so maybe £180USD

I always remember 'exchange rates' (not official but the price we pay) back then as ~1:1 .

I have (from when I bought them) the original black & allen one's, I only had a paper-round and worked in the local Chinese. Still not sure how I would have been able to buy them* (maybe I also got them form the Eurocycles bloke)... Mind I don't know how I was able to afford most of my bike either.

* I do know why I would have wanted them though, I was you and silly enough to spend the extra over the steel one's.

ooh those will be perfect for my build!!

weird question - anyone know if one of the sets of elastomers is red??

nick - no squealing on why!!!

Yep ti's were £140 bitd, can't remember how much cromo or steels were.

Elite504 - My mate couldn't anodise the old end caps either. The pedals themselves came up ok (I've had these from new - about 15 years and the black paint was well scruffy!) Haven't used them yet so not sure how hard wearing it'll be!

well i dismantled the onzas to put the red things in and they fit perfectly. My only idea is that someone has used dye of somesort on the clear ones.

I know food colouring will dye rubber but they look too perfect!!

I'll try and post a piccy later!
