The parcel has arrived!

Have got the day off work today, my wife is in hospital having an operation so plenty to do on the domestic side..

This was a lovely distration from the stress of the day:

it goes without saying that I was speechless when I found this lot in the box, Laz knows how to suprise, he kept quiet about most of these parts

I am really excited about using these parts, they are going to look lovely, thanks again Laz!

I will have some bits left over, so will talk to Laz about spreading some of his genorous Karma...

Those alloy platform pedals seem familiar....are they Maillard ones? They look an awful lot like the ones that came with my first "proper" road bike circa 1995 (a 531 Holdsworth Corsair).

They are Maillard, I am sure Laz can confirm the specific details...

Hi Simon I think the pedals are Maillards CX (forgot to send the toeclips & straps Homer DOH). A few of the Raleigh lads in here might like a look at the SR - Raleigh stamped 27.2 seatpost with the wierd clamp. I also have the handlebars & stem with the same panto Simon if you want them ?

The Suntour VX rearmech & Suntour power friction shifters should prove good reliable runners. You'll need rimtape for the rebuilt wheels buddy. SR cranksets are reasonably solid & reliable and the BB's came off Raleighs (the longer 1 came with the cranks)
