This looks like a ride through a garden centre.

Shameful, we have some of the best mountain biking in Europe.

The Olympics are supposed to be all about the legacy.

i have tickets for me and the family...i have heard complaints regarding the course too....it would appear to have been designed to be tv friendly, with the whole course visible from the centre piont.....i agree that better biking exists elsewhere, but it stops the need for helicopter camera work.....i see their point, but do feel scotland , wales or dartmoor/peak/lake ditrict would offer a course to put hairs on your chest!....

It says on mtb as a sport:

'...which has only grown since its arrival on the Olympic programme in the 1990s.'

Thats why i have always liked mtb.

I only live about 5 miles from the venue....and yes you are right, it has mainly been built there for the TV.....but the reviews are good, the riders love it, and its a really nice venue.

I think it should be good.... haven't got tickets though!!

We have no problems at all filming the world cup events at Fort William. I think this is a major opportunity missed to underline the UK as a major outdoor sports destination.

Yeah, they are all dressed for dinner, rather than documenting an outdoors event!

Says it all really, the Olympics is all about the suits.

They are the only ones who can afford the tickets anyway.
