Olmo Vintage Touring Bike - Help

pgasca

Retro Newbie
Trying to find out what the model and year of the attached Olmo road bike. I bought it over 15 years ago, but I have no information on it. I think it might have been from the mid-80's.
Also would love to know its value, as I may consider selling.
Thank you for any help you might be able to provide.

Re:

That's a nice bike you have - not a tourer as there no details on the frame to attach racks and touring paraphernalia - but a road frame. Somebody's pride and joy when new I should think. I'm not an expert but I would guess at a later 1980s Olmo Competition with the chromed forks and chainstay. Got to be worth £200-300 in that condition I suppose, worth cleaning and riding...

I think it might be a bit later - I'm going for early 90s rather than 80s. Just going on the general componentry:
-The Flite saddle is a early/mid 90s;
-Aero brake levers are 90s;
-Steady curve shape in the fork was a very 1990s trend;
-Chainset looks late 80s.

Looks like a nice bike.

Re:

Same fork crown as my 84 Olmo Competition HF. If that helps, which it probably doesn't.

Let's not forget that Olmo is the Schwinn of Italy.
