Ride what YOU want to ride but just bear in mind that there are those that like what THEY ride and what THEY ride may not be what YOU like to ride.

Plus, there is a lot of economical sense in rebuilding old bikes as a hobby/ lifestyle choice/ genetic predisposition, plus its enormously green and environmentally friendly.
