Old Raleigh worth restoring?

Well, it's old to me. I was clearing out the garage today in order to put the ol' punchbag back up and I came across this. I have no idea about the model but it says "15 NITRO" on the sticker :? However, it's defently a Raleigh because it has the badge. Not a sticker. The badge.

It's a pretty small bike, measurements I'm not sure but would be best suited to 24" wheels. The frame is what I'm mainly interested in and also the forks - why? Because they're steel and come with the most AMAZING finish on them ever. The gears and that are old on them, so I'd probably turn it single speed. But as I said, an amazing looking finish which is in mint condition. So I may wipe the dust off and see what I can do as a summer project.

So, someone tell me if it's worth it or not?

I wouldn't spend too much on it but it could be fun turning it into a cheap single speed. Seems a shame not to use it if you've already got the bike.

Well, it's a choice between this and a '97 Hardrock once I get some experts to tell me if it's worth it.

I just love the finish on the bike

p.s incase you can't see it. The finish is a black undercoat with lots of red freccles.

Tempting. This would be just a thrash around bike if I did it up. Also, what year is it? :?
