Old Niessen road bike (what is it?)

Hey guys,

does anyone knows that bike manufacture? I cant find anything about "niessen" on the internet and never heard about it. It looks very nice.

Interesting find!

Since Eupen is a town in eastern Belgium ("Ostbelgien") and Belgium has a rather rich tradition of sticker-branding bikes, my guess would be that Niessen was a bicycle shop in Eupen.

The use of Reynolds SMS tubing puts the build date in the early eighties. If my information is correct, that was only available from '80 to '82.

For identification I'd be looking for Belgian builders that built with SMS.

OTOH, the decal on the fork looks familiar. Does it say "inexternal"? If so, look towards Motobecane.
