the before and after took 2 years(only 3 of us)..its over 400 years old in places so we had to keep some parts..the flint parts were 3 feet thick and a complete sod to repair...the whole front of the house was removed and rebuilt(by me) cos it bowed out 2 feet.i wore out a bolster chisel removing some of it.the place is called sundial(cos its got one from the 1700,s)and is for sale for 350 000 quid.and its my bosses house.
the furniture thing is just a hobby but i am thinking of making the surf table out of thinner oak(same size tho) and flogging them on the interweb thingie.i have made some smaller ones which i sold thru the now closed surf shop in yarmouth......i trained as an upholsterer (18th cent onwards) and as a furniture designer at norwich city college.14 a grades 3 credits and a distiction(small head big mwahahahah).i was suppo0sed to make ya bog standard shaped table but i didnt like that so i convinced em this would be more interesting .the top for the table was a solid piece 2 inches thick before i planed it(the wood was free for me but would have cost a fortune if i had to pay for it)i think the shark came out well.i am making a mini version at the mo but cos ive been working a lot at the mo i havent had time to finish it.
