Ok Guru's what is this frame ?

Looks like an Alan.

Carbon main tubes and alloy everything else.

Henry Burtons cycle shop in Stafford had one fully built up with lots of XT bits and matching rigid alloy or chromed steel fork a while back.

Seriously drooled over that bike.

probably wrong though

It's identical to Samu's Alan, with the exception of the seat stay forming / shape. Fair to assume it's an Alan or made on the same production line.

Or its a Taiwanese copy,my mates came with a polished alloy fork, these things are seriously old I'd be weary of ridin an Alan(with teir rep in the cross/road world of frames 'parting') let alone a copy.

eeek copies?

Ask the seller for a close up of the head tube and see if it says Alan like Samu's ...though that's not exactly hard to copy.

The way the seat stays are bonded looks a lot like the old Trek 7000s, etc. but the cable guides are the same as some of the Alans. Did Vitus not make any mountain bikes?
