Hi, I own a set of Girvin Electronic Forks which runs on a 9vlt battery, & was wondering if you could Help me, I have taken it apart & noticed it has oil & very small rubber sealz inside. Do u know where I could take it for an overall & back t how it should b.Both the NR2 and the NR4 are fairly simple shocks but they are nitrogen filled as well, so this may be a problem when it comes to opening them up, and certainly when it comes to rebuilding it. If you do rebuil it though you can change the weight of the oil to alter the shocks characteristics.
I've resisted tampering with mine thus far, but I seem to rember a thread on here where someone had taken one apart, and also someone adapting a valve to repressurize the shock using air. Worth having a look over on the idriders proflex forum too.
I've just had my Noleen shock ( for my Proflex 857 ) rebuilt by Mick Gardner , I know its a while since the original posting but it cost a staggering £162 .Thanks for that tipI have the Noleen shock from the rear of my Proflex sat in the garage in need of repair.
