But you can't deny there are a few flaky 80's Colnagos in circulation. I can't imagine that De Rosa made any dodgy steel bikes, although I'm always open to being corrected on that one too and Merckx did go to and stay with De Rosa eventually, so if it's good enough for him then it's way too good for me. :D
 
Not sure about that De Rosa - the wheels don't match the nice skinny steel tubes in my opinion. The Neoprimato of recent years is a much more coherent build.

If I had the budget for a new Italian steel bike I'd be sorely tempted by a Zullo...
 
I've got a bunch of nice looking 80's steel bikes already. I'm more interested in the difference in performance than anything else, but you are all right it does look a bit strange. They do a nice aluminium one too, although I would have to see them all in the flesh before I part with any cash.
