Bit of a nightmare has occurred while fettling this evening.
I have managed to strip the threads of the wedge bit off the expander bolt for my '88 Scott Boulder :facepalm: :facepalm: I'm not a gorilla and was tightening it up with a standard allen key and one hand. It looks a bit corroded in there so the threads were weakened :evil:. It's my bike of choice for our ride in the FOD..Has anyone got one they can sort me out with sharpish so I got my preferred steed rideable for sat? Failing that deadline I would be grateful for one anytime
It's a nice stem and just needs a new wedge..
'88 Scott 1" stem. Must be a 22mm dia wedge.
