Holiday time on Saturday :D

Off to Tignes for a spot of relaxing ( ) snowboarding. Anyone else partake in this "busman's holiday"?

I went to Sauze, in Italy at the end of Feb, and I'm off to Flaine in France on the 24th :D
Only started last year, but totally hooked now!
How's the snow looking in Tignes?

There's still quite a bit there, looking quite tracked out and a bit mash potatoey at the bottom come afternoon so could do with a bit of a refresher. Muchly looking forward to it though as I haven't been since the Mrs (skiier) broke her leg in Tignes 2 years ago

Tignes is great; it'll be my 6th time there next week. Shares the ski area with Val d'Isere so there's plenty to do. Also has my favourite bar in the whole world there, The Alpaka :)

Sauze d'Oulx is quite a good place, The Milky Way is massive. Unfortunately, when we last went there the snow was either non-existent (Sauze) or rock hard (Sestriere). Quite a bit of water skiing at the bottom levels of the hills.... Talking of bars, we stayed in a great hotel on top of the irish bar in town. Not good if you want to sleep, but fantastic if you want to drink :)

The last 2 days in sauze were a bit slushy in Feb. I was glad we booked the week we did as the start of the week was amazing.
There was talk of closing the resort early if the temp didn't drop!
We stayed in the big hotel just behind Paddy's. Cracking bbg chicken wings.
12" of snow in Flaine last week, and more forecast for next week.
Taking my girlfriend for her first attempt at skiing. Cant wait!
