Hello everyone,

This is probably me showing me ignorance here - I don't recognise that headbadge and the seat stays look like Carlton ones:

Is there anything odd about that frame, or is it just an early one?

Early Raleigh's had wrap over stays, gran sport and road ace seem to ring a bell,

Looks in very good nick, is there a frame number on it?

Re:

Hi Shaun - Cheers for the reply!

It's one I'm thinking of buying because I like the look of it. I've been looking for a 1983-ish Raleigh Royale for some time and this one popped up, although obviously it's not the type of Royale that I'm after. I'll ask about the serial number but it's good to know that it looks to be as it should.

What sort of era do you reckon that headbadge is from? - 60's?

Re:

Looks like a Raleigh from the Carlton works early 60s. These were well built mass produced using heavy raleigh tubing and 26 tpi head and bottom bracket threads.
