Like many cheap bikes (especially these days) that reeks of 'lets make this frame look different just for the sake of it, it will weigh more than a diamond frame but it might sell".

Edit: Perhaps I'm being a bit harsh- it's not an absolutely basement price bike by the looks of the Exage and Altus, but still...

I remember it from BITD and quite liked it then...and still do today.
