That is good to know and may solve the search if I went down this route. Did you have any clearance issues with the inner ring fouling on the frame?

I did see that octolink v1 cranks shouldn't be used on a v2 bb. Has anyone mixed these up?

V1 on V2 is asking for trouble.
Inner ring clearance is dependant on frame and number of teeth. Best to try and see what it looks like and if needed, you can shift the BB over with a spacer.

V1 and V2 splines are different dimensions and not just in the length of them.

Indeed, it is a v1 compatible chainset.
