what a p!sh poor manager

He may be a business man but he clearly has no "people" skills whatsever. And no clue about bipolar disorder either.

I wonder if Offside photography have contacted him yet to ask for their fee for 10 days use of the L'Equipe image?

Should come to somewhere North of £1000...

Maybe we should grass him up to the photographers? Or is that a little childish :)

Perhaps Mr Obree has bought it using the spare cash from the sale of his double glazed house :)

Pfff.. I was chatting to a well known dealer last wknd (who sells mainly to museums) about this bike and he said that as a replica of the REAL record breaking bike it's market value was in the region of 2-3k and any bidding beyond that would certainly be 'suspicious'. To be polite about it. This is from someone who has 40yrs + in the retail trade and 20 of those selling online. He knows what he's on about.

Its a bit more than a replica though isn't it? Obree made an attempt on it. £10k no way! but its of more value of a replica made after the event.

Apparently, a true replica of Old Faithful was built for the film.

And just to add to my previous comment about Moser being interested in it.....
