Perhaps, in a little way, he has.

Up until now my number of Gary Shandling retweets were my proudest Twitter achievement.

I will feel lost until I get a retweet from the greatest man to have lived in my era after Mandela.

I am not even going to bother with Gary Lineker from now on.
