Yes my knees are giving me jip this morning. It was slower and more Knackering riding yesterday with gears than on the Surley!

ps Does anyone know the best way to hold a stick!

Open yer mouth, stand on all fours...

Just make sure it's not a pointed one!

I had the same thing after riding all winter on the road with bar end shifters...spent the first 4 weeks tickling the end of the bars.

Been there too, and in reverse. Also try to shift with the brake levers on my non-STI road bike, and there was a while when I had Rapid Rise on one bike and normal mech on another. I had to shift down once then up twice to get the right gear...
