Hi all,

Just finished my Sunn project at last!

It has a Ritchey 2x9 wcs set up with sachs Plasma rear and Sram 9.0 front mech Ritchey Rings and Ti Sprocket on 8 speed Sram cassette.

Real sweet and good looking set up and not shitmano. There is only one small problem,i can't remember how to use gears!!!!
Its been about four years since i rode a geared bike,Blimey its like starting all over again.

Has anybody else had this kind of thing? Even if you haven't,would you please humour me?

I had the same thing after riding all winter on the road with bar end shifters...spent the first 4 weeks tickling the end of the bars.

I also broke my shoulder 20 years ago and forgot how to use my left arm for a while.

im afraid you are a plank my friend! im sure youll find the same thing when you drive a watercooled VW youll have forgeten how to drive a real car.

The mrs says i'm as thick as a brick, so a plank is a step up!

Speaking of cars, my other car is a left hooker and i find myself trying to open the door insted of changing gear. Maybe i'm not cut out for this using complex machinery thing!

Think i may just find a stick to play with!

Sorry i am waiting to be held by the hand by a friend as to show me how to do such complicated things.

I have just been called a plank by one member on here!! I have never been so offended, then again i don't get out much!

Anyway the bike is a Sunn exact un disc just been freshly powdercoated,white of course. custom decals,White industries,Hope, Syncros,Race face,Onza......

I have a camera a computer all the leads n stuff a printer memory sticks you name it.

I just don't know how to use any of them!

I use the word retro a lot so people just think i don't do technology.

I put the Rohloff back on my Kilauea a few weeks ago after a long spell of singlespeed, and nearly popped my kneecaps getting stuck in big gears and forgetting to change down. I've just about got the hang of it again now.

I had the same thing when I went back from spuds to clips and straps, twisting my foot sideways to get out of the strap and falling down flat.
