Not very retro Pace...

Been messing with this one for a few weeks. It has some retro bits, i.e. the stem, hubs and erm that is probably it to be honest.

Thought I would share a few pics. It is a dream to ride though I am thinking of replacing the forks currently and will probably replace some other parts too as I would like to get it as British/Canadian as possible.

Lovely but those forks as you rightly point out are way wrong.

Geometry on these is for a much longer travel 140mm fork or thereabouts.

BB is way too low as a result. You must have terrible ground clearance when cornering.

IMHO these frames are very underrated. Really like mine but all the bits off it are on my FSR at the moment so it's undergoing a rebuild......

The forks on it are AM2s which should be up to 130mm travel. Am after some RC41 XCAM for it really but someone must have done an off eBay deal on the set I was watching as they have been removed after being bid on. Not happy about that but not well up on longer travel single crown forks so not sure what to go for.

Looks nice The new Paces - whilst nothing like the old ones - do look cool in a very stealth way.

I happen to have some Pace RC41 XCAMs in the shed that I was considering putting on ebay. Drop me a PM if you're interested.

The frame was designed to go with the RC41. When I bought mine I was going to buy and RC40 to take advantage of the adjustable travel but Pace told me that it was a really silly idea....

When I built the bike up, with an RC41, I realised why.

RC41 is a great fork - but don't come up for sale very often.

Looks like I have managed to source the RC41 of ajantoms above so the bike will be nearer to how I want to have it in the near future.

Swapped the forks out for some RC41 courtesy of ajantom and it feels like a different bike. I love Pace Forks.

Anyway here is a shot up a hill near Staveley this morning.
