It does have somewhat of a retro spirit with those German A forks (to me they're the legit successors of the AMP forks just turned the other way around, and using a proper shock). Acros hydraulic derailleur system mmm... always fancied a set of those. The frame brand doesn't ring a bell though. The whole project is a money pit to that guy since it's so specific nobody will ever pay that much money for it (I appreciate it but wouldn't buy it like that). Oh and the pic with the slicks, (so sad...)
 
I would need to re-check the specs (dunno how expensive the frame was) but the fork and drive-train were veeery expensive (if bought new at full retail price). Quite possible the 10k estimate might not be that far off. In that case you need to part the bike out though, in order to even attempt to make some of the money back. Money-pit! I feel the same with my Moots build though, if I ever try to sell it I will loose so much money on it.
