Not quite retro....

More retro style....

My current WiP. Lugged steel, 650b, will have a matching lugged crown ATB fork.
Trying to decide if it should have XTR cantis or Paul Motolites; Nitto dirt drop stem or fillet brazed ahead stem......; and splatter or grey/neon turquoise paint....

Built up for a test ride.... photos to follow.

I’m still experimenting, like most of my builds. One thing I’m trying to decide is the balance of seatstay stiffness in the vertical and side to side planes (?). With some XT v-brakes I’ve got quite a bit of flex with the brakes pulled on hard, but then I’m thinking the skinny seat stays give a bit of vertical compliance.....

I’ve used the same skinny wishbone setup on a few disc brake frames without any issues, but then a low mount disc doesn’t put any stress on the seatstays
