NOS Shimano XTR M900 crankset

I can't see the problem with the listing. To me it's the most beautiful chainset ever produced, and the original RRP makes it not too bad when appplied to today's relative prices. If you buy it to look at it you'll be happy; if you use it you'll be even happier, because they're flawless. I agree with GM about depreciation - it's part and parcel of life.

I'm scraping the pennies together as we speak. :D

No problem with the listing here, more of an observation of the ever rising nos prices, especially of this one that is quite a bit higher than what I personally have seen in us ebay listings (of nos xtr cranks). Certainly, there have been similarly priced xtr cranks around, but predominately on ebay.de.

Depreciation is of course natural; I think the comments were mainly about the very large difference in nos vs. slightly used xtr cranks. But like you say, they are beautiful and, most importantly, flawless in function and condition. I still think most people buying nos do it for the perfect looks. Nothing wrong with that.

ps hopefully you'll scrape together a lot of pretty pennies :)

I'm thinking about this many:
