Instead of taking the piss perhaps you could provide "friendly" advice or feedback and then I'd be able to amend the listing appropriately.

I thought this was supposed to be a friendly and helpful site for people with a shared interest..........

NOS = New Old Stock.

i.e. still in the packet. Or at the very least, never fitted or used.
Describing a bike as NOS when is in regular use is taking the piss.

Re:

sorry we'll just get the crystal balls out, knowing it was you posting the add and searching for recommendations on how to describe such an item correctly. why use 'nos' when not knowing what the term meant? if its any help a similar sized VitT sold for £400 earlier this year if it helps with your pricing,

your add still has NOS in the title hope that helps

GLWS. :D

Agree though that it is a mistruth but i guess if you look after things to the point they still look new then the description should be 'mint condition'
Actually it doesnt mean new in packet as many things on show didnt come in packets

Really nice bike and build though. Not far off the ones from the bike shoppe windows when a customer let it be shown
Seriously fantastically nice build. Ticks all my boxes except the money one

That about 1/2 new price :?

Found the add for that other vit2 which was large frame, missing a bunch of parts and in really poor condition. It went for £406 (agree this was a bargain) but I'm gueswssing someone had to collect it and travel costs would be incurred, plus considerable time/effort in restoring and sourcing parts to eventually get it to the same spec as mine.
In terms of condition I don't think it's fair to compare the two bikes as they are miles apart in terms of spec and condition.
I've seen parts advertised on ebay as NOS which are in worse condition than the ones fitted to my bike which why I felt it'd be safe to use the term, clearly people disagree so I've changed the ad.

Re:

regarding comparing prices on sold stuff, this may sound irritating but you can't say it's worth more because alot has been spent on it, it's unfortunate but it doesn't seem to work like that, frankly none of us will ever get our money back on the stuff we sell, someone may have got a bargain at £406, even if they bung £1000 at it for a lot of mint parts doesn't make it worth £1400 etc, it's worth what someone will pay, ie what you can get for it, frankly i have a vit T2 with arguably a better spec than yours, it's mint and it's lovely, i'd guess the value at £800 if i split it down, it's worth more in bits than as a whole.

and FYI, the use of the term "NOS", i think it irritates alot of people because people use it not knowing what it actually means, it's sort of like a regular faux pas in this type of interest that we see alot.

hope you get your sale price, or somewhere near it but (and i don't mean to rude) i think you're aiming a little high.
