Nope. . . on the right track, but not quite. These ones are STAINLESS spindles. Pinky/ purple box y'see. The ti ones, also silver, had a blue box (man, I'm a nerd).
The black, quick rust cro-mo spindles came in the earlier 'porcupine' box, and had the 5mm hex in the end. I think these will have a screwdriver slot.
That is of course assuming they're in the correct box.
I use these on al my machines now and I like 'em, but they're not for everyone. If the bidding doesn't go crazy I'll have a punt.

Nope, not quite still...!
I had a pair of these pretty much the day they came out.
Steel version, polished spindle (not black), and with hex end caps...
The slightly later ones have a sort of 'tab' either side of the cleat plate cast into the pedal body...
