NOS Mustang frame £110 start

say what you like, but without the low end raleighs, drug dealers banned from driving would never have been able to stay in business.
if you go to the right places, you can still see them roaming free in their natural habitat, delivering baggies across the estate. mustangs, lizards, they are all there...

i came here cos i found the early saracen lovers thread on google. i handnt even heard of probably half the bikes on here. now i have, and want them badly (thanks for that.) thats got to be a good thing right?
thing is there is a cut off point at which it ceases to be a bike and becomes a bso, and as we all know that point is 200gs.

I used to sell tons and tons of Raleighs back in the day. I know all about 'em. A disaster as an offroad machine, but there were some really decent mountain bike shaped bikes for general cruising. Alloy parts and rims at a price point where you would typically see chrome steel. So, I moved 'em!

That said, if I bought a Raleigh, this is the one I'd like to have (except in a 52 or 53cm) http://www.flickr.com/photos/oldcampy/3379193413/

there's one just like it @ my LBS

i am proud to have built some very low cost bikes.

i dont want to replace my dog shit bikes (modern dog shit inbred included) for one bike that one man says is of a decent calibre.

i would love to find an early 90's claude butler dog shit bike. they were the stuff of dreams when i was growing up and i intend to own one

Seriously or just having a laugh Lewis?

The fella who rides around our estate has a better bike than mine.

Not that that's saying much... entry level GT, it's not going to break hearts. Just has a lot of memories in it, which is something I like about this forum, people talking about their past endeavours.

Austin Allegros aren't good cars, there were prettier cars that handled better and did the job more comfortably... But they still raise a smile when one goes past.

The Mustang is overpriced by the way. Perhaps if it was a Townsend...

just popoinh off to pop the kettle on, any one want one ?
