OMG that's just like my first ever MTB - Diamondback Ascent EX.
Sure it's more like a 1990 than 1993.
Mine had chunkier forks that were painted the same as the frame - white with black splatter.

Shame it's too small for me

Yeah, 1991 Ascent EX, and indeed should have had 'big fork' style forks..

Nice bike, had full Deore LX instead of 400LX on the Ascent if I remember..
