I talked to Charlie this morning about his style of frame gussets versus the Bontrager style. Charlie said that the Bontrager style gussets work fine for production, but he believes his work better because they extend to almost the Nodal point of the tube and thus spread the stresses out to the least laden part of that tube and back to the beginning. He also said he does some secret internal work on the frame that helps strengthen it. Must be working, as those frames are fairly bulletproof! Pat

One of the Guvnors little jokes - if you type the acronym of International Vintage MounTian Bike (private members forum for collectors of high end US made mtb) it's substituted for the name of a cheesy 70's US cop show.
