Noodle Worm; what's the point?

They are to stop the mud going into the lined noodle and they do work. Getting dirt in the noodle is easy.
The problem with them is a big pile of mud pulls the rubber boot off or as mentioned hey are not tight enough fitting.

they do their job when they stay where they are suppose to.


If you can get it to cover all the cable then you're brakes are set up wrong.
You do need to clean under it every now and again as dirt as eventually get pushed into the noodle, where it turns into a light brown rusty sticky adhesive...
