Non retro ugly nonesense that I have no interest in

While I love the Jones innovation and design (especially the earlier space frames) and have copied some of it on my Seven, I can't for the life of me understand why the prices are quite so high for a bike that is only offered in two sizes rather than true custom like other Ti bikes of the same value. Even with Merlin knocking these out for him it seems odd that you can buy a £100 on one frame in millions of sizes but not a $5,000 frame package?!

Even this one is classed as a small and the seller says that he is 5"11 and it fits him like a love - what size is the large meant for then!

I do get that feeling that Jones is a master of marketing, inflating his wait times to biblical proportions (when it's more down to the fact that he's out riding than he's working every hour like, say, Rody), people then think 'wow if his lead time is 5 years then he must be good', because the lead time is so high he can charge what he likes, then gets Merlin in to build for him at the same price as the custom ones and bingo, no more hard work, a bit of cash and a load of time to go riding......genius!

I agree on the rest but I'm thought 29'ers are designed for 6 ft plus riders maybe that is why that model is a small. correct me if I am wrong.

Almost true from what I know -they do suit taller rides better but they are widely used by all sizes of riders, hence on-one offer 5 or 6 sizes from 16" up to garden gate! But even still, one 6ft rider may have tiny arms or a short upper body and that's where the true value of a $5000 custom frame comes in, a true made to measure, not back to the bad old days of 'just pop a longer stem or seatpost on that' like we were told in the 80's and early 90s!

This is why Seven gets my vote, proper job!

Each to their own...I reckon these are the ONLY bike for which I would pay the asking however much money I had. Quarter of a million on the lotto and this is what I would buy.

First and foremost...I would be very unlikely to see ANOTHER one when riding it! Or even one of similar design - the most important criteria when deciding what to ride, obviously!
And I just think that it LOOKS good.
And from what I've read of them, they do ride exceedingly well.
And .... we J---ses should stick together...
