non drivers

Cycling only for me, well apart from when I am on a bus or in a Taxi or on a train, but mainly on a bike, just about every day of the year.

The only car in my family now is my wifes which I drive when I have to. Cycle and walk everywhere otherwise. I do own an old MG, but thats laid up at the mo with the engine on the wrong side of the bodywork so its not going anywhere fast.

Make a decision to get rid of my 'day-to-day' car a year or so ago and don't regret it one bit.

i think the only time i miss not being able to drive is when im looking for a job. theres probley loads of good jobs i've missed out on because i can't drive. i get a lot of hassel from my familiy too.
if i did drive i'd have to have somthing nice and classic which would be expencive and uneconomical, so its best i dont. the best thing is being able to spend all the extra cash on bikes, i keep telling the missus "think of it as petrol" :D

Did pre-driver training at school,

came second from last, out of about 30, the guy who came last never showed up at all

then tried driving a few years back :?

had 6 or 7 lessons and said to the girlfriend - 'can I reverse the car off the drive' :) , she said yes - no problem.

 not sure how I did it but I did a big U-turn and parked the car on her mothers neighbours front garden, straight through all the shrubbery   .

I never went for further lessons in fear of killing someone - some people aint built for driving - like cabbies

Two cars, 10 bikes.....

.....and I take the train to work.

The cars (both around 17 years old) and the bikes are toys. I prefer my commuting transport to be something I don't have to pay the upkeep on.

i must admit ive been taking the bus to work a lot latley , with this weather its not nice spending the day with wet feet and a soggy arse. its quite nice to sit on the bus sipping tea, it means i dont realy have to wake up till luchtime

I have a license , but very rarely drive . Only got insured on family car to go to Mountain mayhem this year and because my wife was about to give birth .
