The only car in my family now is my wifes which I drive when I have to. Cycle and walk everywhere otherwise. I do own an old MG, but thats laid up at the mo with the engine on the wrong side of the bodywork so its not going anywhere fast.
Make a decision to get rid of my 'day-to-day' car a year or so ago and don't regret it one bit.
i think the only time i miss not being able to drive is when im looking for a job. theres probley loads of good jobs i've missed out on because i can't drive. i get a lot of hassel from my familiy too.
if i did drive i'd have to have somthing nice and classic which would be expencive and uneconomical, so its best i dont. the best thing is being able to spend all the extra cash on bikes, i keep telling the missus "think of it as petrol"
i must admit ive been taking the bus to work a lot latley , with this weather its not nice spending the day with wet feet and a soggy arse. its quite nice to sit on the bus sipping tea, it means i dont realy have to wake up till luchtime
I have a license , but very rarely drive . Only got insured on family car to go to Mountain mayhem this year and because my wife was about to give birth .
