If you look up there are no contrails at all. After the plane has left these are dispersed and result in a white haze high up.
In Lancs the sky is absolutely clear of any "plane cloud" and I last saw the sky this clear some time in Sept 2002...

This is where the CO2 argument falls flat on its face, how much do you reckon is being spewed straight up by that volcano? And all the others in the world, not to mension the 10x worse methane emitted by cows bottoms around the world :roll:

My ex is flying with KLM and she is stuck in Bangkok since a few days.
a few hours back the KLM made a test flight and there was nothing wrong with the air,..they want to get back in the air ASAP,..they are now requesting eurocontrol to give them the go.

It's not only the planes that are being affected by this ash; I went out on the bike for about an hour and a half on Thursday. Came back with a cough and a sore throat. Still don't feel much better now.

One of the main concerns now lies with Eyjafjallajökull's sister volcano Katla which is even bigger. Geologists are monitoring it closely and are worried that Katla will also erupt. This is because as history has shown, whenever the Eyjafjallajökull volcano has blown the sister volcano, Katla, also erupts soon afterwards. If this happens again it is certainly going to be 'interesting' to say the least!
