Ok , i feel a bit guilty as i recently picked a bike up and then sold it at a profit.

But i did do a full strip, clean and rebuild. I replaced a lot of parts. I posted a very basic thread and did a fair bit of research. And ended up with a fully working bike that I sold for (IMHO) a fair price below what i could of eked out if I had really pushed the sales patter.

Ultimately if the price is good for the frame then OK but it seems a bit of a one sided business with very little added to the forum.

There's nothing wrong with buying, selling and making a profit if you've put work into something and/or made some effort to improve the item you're selling (after all very few people would work daily for free). However, the practice of snapping up something cheap and immediately flipping it for a sizeable markup just marks you down as being a bit of a c*** really.
