I see a lot of bikes new and old cheap and expensive and most of them are unremarkable but today my wee heart lept.

I saw this new Stumpjumper with a cloth and glue frame and some Sram stuff on it. I hate both of these usually but I saw past them today to see what is a really lovely bike.

If I had that kind of cash I'd have a newer car but it's the first bike I've seen in ages that I just want.

Comp Carbon

OHHH YEAHHH BABY!

I nearly purchased one of the comp carbons in white early this year. It was going to be one of the two year interest free jobs, then I realised it just wasnt worth it for me. I couldnt justify the cost versus performace upgrade over my 2006 Stumpy. The white is really nice in the flesh.

I've ridden one and prefer my old school stumpy. But it is certainly one of the best hardtails to come out in recent years.

A mate of mine had one of them. Didnt keep it very long, couldnt get on with the ride and sold it to fund a 99/00 M4.

I booked one for a test ride from a local shop. Turned up on the night and they didn't have it. Got to play on a top-of-the range Enduro though, and that was a cracking bike.

Look there's no cover for the chain  or mud guards,,, and look at that saddle it'll cut you like a razor blade..

Ah! when bikes used to be bikes eh!! lgf
