Talked to the guy. He said he got it as payment for a weeks worth of work from a guy whos son used to race. He has been using it as a beach cruiser. Bonus is he still has the original magura hydro rim brakes, original fox alps 5 and a bunch of other stuff. It needs work and may be too small for me but I am going to get it anyway.

Well I went and had a look but the bike had some issues. 2 big dings on the top tube from the dual crown fork bashing into it. 2 more big dents on the stays. The cook cranks were beat to hell. Still a nice bike but not worth $500. Too small for me too and the rear wheel was a cheap one so I left it. Maybe in a few weeks he will post again for a better price. I would not pay more that $300 although it is a 1st generation San Andreas.
