How do the sums add up for Newcastle in terms of appreciation?

We are currently looking at areas we like rather than investment potential. Puts a whole different spin on everything.

I think we've done well to manage this many posts without a Get Carter reference, unless anyone can recommend any 4- or 5-bedroom properties for the OP to move into which are a real bargain but in need of major work, i.e. "it's a big house, but in bad shape"
