Newbie questions

Hello all Newbie here. I found this site after my wife bought me a arty mountainbike magazine recently, which the author of this site was interviewed in.

I've been mountain biking since about 1987, & used to work part time in my teens in Madgetts Cycles in Diss..... a mecca for east anglia cyclists..

I've owned (in order);
Falcon something...... my 1st MTB
GT Zaskar
Proflex 550 (Graphite & Blue)
Proflex ?????? cant remember (White & Black)
klein attitude single speed
mk1 Raleigh Chopper
Specialised Enduro Mk1 (1999)
Specialised Enduro Pro mk2 (2001) - with Spengle Carbons & deore thumbies

I gave a Klein attitude frame to a mate of mine about 8 years ago, which he has done nothing with, so I am going to pop round to see if I can get it back, to build up a sub 20lb single speed again.

I love my retro stuff, but would just like to gauge the members on what of the take is on the above list as to where "retro" stops ? is it upto 1997 ?

As work & new family have got in the way of cycling for a good few years, I'm keen to get back on my Enduro Pro more regularly, & build up this klein.

I've got boxes & boxes of probaby retro stuff, as I rarely throw things away - even a mid 1990s Giro helmet, a U brake or two & spare deore thumbshifters. Is there much of a market for this kind of stuff ?

I'll post some piccies when i remember to convert them to digital.

cheers Guys & Gals

I'm sure that it won't take more than about 5 minutes of searching on this forum to realise how amazingly generous / amazingly silly that was!! ;)

Welcome to the forums :)
