That is a stunning bike, I've just been given one in metallic grey and have just got it stripped down ready for a rebuild.

Thanks, in the meantime I had located them as a supplier. Did you cut the tape off flush with the bar ends, or tuck it in?

Leave it long and for a few days to completely dry out (you fit the leather wet) before cutting and tucking the ends in.
The instructions provided with the kit are pretty good and I didn't have any problems at all. Just be very accurate with where you make the cuts for your brake levers, you don't get a second chance!
