Newbie BB Question

Afternoon everyone,

I have a quick question about bottom brackets. Took mine out today as going to replace it. It's marked 68mm so I know this is the size of the BB shell. Spindle is marked 110mm, is there any reason or benefit to change this for a longer spindle or do I just keep everything the same when buying a replacement?

Keep the BB spindle the same length.

They're available in different sizes to suit the crank set. If you're replacing the cranks then you need to get a BB the right length for the cranks, if you're keeping the old cranks use a BB the same length.
