iv got a set of the pauls/ultegra 9speed on my modern merlin. they are fantastic. crisp shifts every time, even when wet. expensive, yes, but so was the bike. only complaint is they dont marry up too well with hope brakes, as in they interfere with the clamps on the lever body. minor gripe.

You're right I've just monuted and used for a short ride [pauls + dura ace barcons] and they're really great! After just two or three steps I had a great feeling.
