New here, just aquired an old Klein

Hello, just figured I'd check in. My uncle used to race downhill mtb, and he just gave me an old Klein Pinnacle he's had in his shed collecting dust for the last 15 years. I gave it a quick wipe down and the paint is still in amazing condition. I asked him what year it was and he thought it was a 1993. Its still very dirty, I'll give it a good clean soon.

I'm hoping to strip some of the old parts off and add new front forks to replace the racing rock shocks, and some new gear shifters. I don't know a lot about mountain bikes, but would I be able to convert it to disc brakes?

Does anyone know who made these handlebars? I don't recognize the symbol, and their is no name anywhere. It also has the same brand brake levers & seat.

Coda is a Cannondale co......so not really appropriate on a Klein.
You might want to replace the stem.....againg abit more approriate to your new ride.

Looks quite nice to me , like the subtle colour, and pretty good if you managed to bag it for free

The bars (and brake levers) are Coda, and has been said already, is an offshoot of Cannondale. I'd happily buy them off you if you chose to sell them, as I'm looking for CODA stuff for my Cannondale build at the moment.

:shock: No way Disc's :twisted: Agree Cannondale bars on a klein not good either. A bit like putting Ferrari badges on a Lamborghini.
