I am looking to renew my Manitou 2 forks, and have found new elastomers and Spring conversion kits online, but I'm not sure which to go for.

Any advise would be welcome.
thanks

both - spring one leg, elastomers the other. that way you get a bit of damping and not a pogo stick.

that would mean buying both sets, as I can't source them individually. So I need to decide. How pogo stick like are springs? is it worth sticking with elastomers and not having as much travel?

I beleive the springs do come with dampers that are placed below them.

My own Manitous had a spring conversion and were just a wee bit too bouncy.

I went over to some RS Judy at the time with half elastomer/ speedspring.

We're talking some 14 years ago though!

Others will be along later to offer their opinions

I don't know manitou but if it was Judy I would go springs.

Post links to the spring/damper and the elastomer setups as well.

If you fit springs you'll need a damper otherwise the spring will rebound with near the same force it was compressed with.
