Dirt Disciple
Hi! Just started to teach my 4 year old to ride a bike, reminded me how much I used to love riding about growing up, that with me needing to shift my dad bod made me buy a cheap little project to do up in the hope of getting about abit with the boy when he learns, stumbled across this forum on the lookout!

Welcome and glad you found an excuse to get back into bikes :)

Got any details or pics of your project? If so, why not start a thread on the members bikes section.

Re:

Hi :) welcome! It's good to see people getting their kids onto bikes and even better to see people taking up biking again in the process. What's the project?

Thanks! I think I will why not, id be grateful of the help. I was looking at all different bikes, didnt want new and that's all I could make my mind up on,found a 1996 (I think!) cheap beat up old kona fire mountain in blue local so thought that's perfect for what I wanted, fingers crossed

I'll also say hi :D and bump it up as its no big deal just to say hi.

The biggest help we can offer is not to lose yourself in bikes you can now afford. I joined only to build something ultra cheap, though lightweight for commuting. Many thousands have thus far been spent. I could outfit a bike shop
So dont get into the habit, its a slippery slope into poverty.

Thanks and hi to you aswell. Haha have you! I know what you mean though i can see how easy it is to get caught up init, sure my missus will keep an eye on my spending though ha

Re:

indeed. My missus received the day's post whilst I was out on Thursday and she couldn't help noticing the parcel with some more bike bits... well and truly busted

Re:

Upgraded the good lady's phone as she could not get the apps to work properly. Set up the new one for her and 5 mins later it pinged to say my order was dispatched! Busted! The old phone never did that. Welcome anyways matey! Hope you have as much fun on here as I have so far
:D
