Need help in identifying old KTM bicycle

I have found this KTM for 25 euro, but the owner doesn't have any information on it. I am searching for a steel bike frame for Touring/Hybrid bike project.
Would this bike be perfect for it?

KTM been making bicycles since the mid 60's. Fairly generic far easter frames, bikes assembled in Austria.

It looks the be a very low end machine with an odd mix of gas pipe lugged frame and unicrown forks.

Properly equipped would doubtless carry off touring duties, but you wouldn't have to spend much to find something lighter and livelier to ride.

There is something appealing in that longer fork, maybe it's more comfortable.
I found a Schwinn Crosspoint for 50 euro, ruffly in the same shape. But the frame is Xl, and I am 175 cm height. Maybe it's too large frame for me?

xl is probably too big. The KTM is a basic bicycle. Nothing wrong with it, but it does seem run down so may need a lot of new parts. Give it time. A good bicycle should be the right size! The Schwinn does have a much nicer frame, which means less weight and more comfort. Not all steel is the same, there is a difference in quality.
