Ne me quitte pas

Brel, original version. Not the poncy soft version he made later in his career.

Scott Walker or Marc Almond?

Or Johnny Halliday (even Bono's had a go at this at a Paris gig)

Vaguely on topic - Watched the Ziggy Stardust farewell show on DVD again last night, with Bowies amazing version of "My Death".

And little kown fact - if Brel hadn't become a singer, he was seriously considering taking up a pro cycling career.

For those who don't know what this is about

He wrote a whole heap of stuff...quite a talent.

The translation takes a lot of artistic liberties. But it's this one.
