Re:

Was going to use the weinmann brakes that came with it. As for decals if the ones that are on it are available I'd like the same again. Will have a look at the dia compe wasn't aware of any jap center pulls

The mock up went a bit further, bars arrived and I tried some shimano brake levers from the parts bin.

I like your wine rack :)

Somewhere in the depths of my spares I have some black Jap / shimano centre pull brakes.

Re:

Will need to build some 27" wheels for this one as the brakes are at the limit so I think it was built for them. Want to drill the chainrings to match the brake levers and milremo amateur saddle. It is a little small for me so ultimately I may end up selling on. Think it would look good with high flange hubs.

curious to see them 8)

I have the silver version with the matching levers with double commands , but to tell the truth, the brake shoe tuning height is limited !
I wanted to use on one bike and it did not fit ( true it was a 650 conversion)
had to use the ubiquitous Mafac Racer which are much more "flexible" in this regard
Still in the back of my mind to put on a 1970's "jap" build ,
full chrome frame with Crane GS long cage and a triple ( possibly SR )
