Its lighter than a fake Zaskar though Dave 
Far east production, and certainly nout wrong with that, these frames were avaliable throughtout the uk and supplied to many bike shops, by importers and distributors, 2 varitaions in quality were avaliable, a lower grade aluminium and the easton stamped variant. Often there was an option of a square tubed rear end.
Quite a light frame if memory serves me right, the weld quality on the easton stamped version was always far superior.
I suspect somewhere you might see a fading stamp of a diamond with an E in the middle.
As for a name, it depended on the shop selling them, and what inhouse brand name they chose, if at all.

One of the suppliers in the south was Southwest Spares, which in more recent years has become Certini cycles. A good outfit, that served the trade with a lot of O/E shimano, and frames wheels etc. (see previous post at the bottom of page 1)
was always a good company to deal with, and still is today, all be it in retail form these days.
It may have even come with a blue and silver Easton Varilite decal on originally.

Sounds close Sinnerman, yeah the diamond logo has been polished to death over the years, comes in at just a touch over 1600 grams.
