Dam,
it was was finally making progress!
Fighting me all the way....headset issues due to fork choice, brake issues due to incorrect coil springs, odd size quill stem wedge, media blasted twice, clear coated twice....the list goes on....hay ho this is what old bikes do!

Tightening up the seat post clamp bold and it sheared off the frame, looks like its been corroding under the brazing, the brazing has the uniformity of an Aero bar!

Off to frame repairer it is then and start again :facepalm:

I think it's the frames way of protesting about those bars ;-)

Easy fix that one, but you'll be needing a bead blast and re-coat
